This is my husband, Ronny Lee, the Youth Pastor here at Wales Baptist Church. Ronny accepted this position in 2006 and has been discipling and mentoring youth every day since. He is a man on a mission.
Ronny also runs a business here in Pulaski, Shelter Insurance. He has been an agent at Shelter for 24 years. We have been married for 26 years and are blessed with wonderful children (Savannah, Maggie and Mary Taylor).
One of Ronny’s many gifts is his ability to relate and communicate with young people. God had always placed Ronny in numerous positions that involved young people. Before salvation and a life lived for Christ, God had been preparing Ronny many years for the job he was created for, that of youth pastor. At MTSU, Ronny was a probation officer for juveniles. He then became a counselor at Deer Valley and eventually at Peninsula Village, a wilderness program for teenage drug addicts. There he lived, counseled and walked these youth through the biggest fight of their lives. On a lighter note, Ronny has coached for decades in Babe Ruth Baseball and girls soccer.

What we do:
WBCY meets for Sunday School every Sunday morning at 9:30. It’s a very important time for building a foundation for life on Scripture. Church service begins at 10:30. We enjoy worship with our family and sit under the inspired teachings of Pastor Kevin Wells and Associate Pastor Nick King.
Wednesday nights, WBCY comes together at 7:00 to build relationships, strengthen our brothers, and learn how to apply God’s Word in the busy, pressure-filled life of a teen. We may have a guest speaker, do a video series on the Book of James, or play Bible Charades. The agenda is modified and changed based on the individual needs of the youth in our care.

Where we go: WBCY has spent spring break the last few years at the Gulf Shores Beach Retreat. It’s a relaxing environment and a great opportunity for spirit-filled worship, and twice-daily personalized Bible Study. |
